Backups backups everywhere.

So I've been here a while, and a large part of my day is just trying to get things to make sense (to me). I'm working through backups a little bit at a time, and I'm mostly happy with them, but I'm frustrated by the lack of certain ways of doing things.

I'd love to see some sort of product that backed up, by default, to something you could easily restore and boot in a VM environment. You can sort of do this with acronis, since it's pretty quick at restoring, but it's not perfect.

On top of this, I'm cleaning up our computer room, quite happily. I rather enjoy making stuff more manageable, and part of this is just simplifying how stuff is cabled. You can spend a fortune on fancy cable management systems, but when you get down to it the most valuable thing is a large supply of hook and loop tape and the ability to label stuff.
